When Starting A Law Firm Look No Further Than The iPhone For Help

By Christopher Small

When starting a new business there are a lot of decisions to make that will shape the course of the business well into the future. And starting a law firm is no different. All of the same choices remain. A key choice for you moving forward will be the type of cell phone you'll use. Keep reading to see what I think.

Before I begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 29 years old. I've run my law firm for just a little over 6 months. Before that I was an attorney at various law firms and governmental agencies. I grew up on Sesame Street and Nintendo. I consider myself on the outskirts of Generation Y. Because of this I am comfortable with new technology and excited to use it.

If you couldn't tell by the title of the article, my vote for phone is the iPhone, for a couple of reasons. The first is that, like many other smart phones, it allows you to sync up your email and calendar instantly so you can see what is going on instantly with your law firm. It's really easy too. This eliminates the need for the paper calendar and will let your staff see what you have going on instantly.

Second, the iPhone's internet experience is second to none. They've set it up so your internet experience is identical to what you would be doing at home or at the office. It makes finding things you need quickly. It also makes killing time waiting for your case to be called easy.

Third, the iPhone is really cool. Let's be honest, pulling out an iPhone and messing around on the phone automatically gives you a bit of coolness for those around you. And you feel cool when using it. I mean, there are no keys! Take a minute to mess around with a buddy's phone and you'll immediately see what I mean.

Learning how to start a law firm takes a lot of discipline, a lot of guts, and a little luck. Help yourself stay on task, go for the gold, and increase the opportunities for luck with an iPhone. It will make your law firm run more productively, give you infinite information at your fingertips, and ultimately change your life.
