Should You Use A SIM Free Mobile Phone When Driving?

By Waseem Afzal

We all live busy lives and sooner or later your phone is going to ring while you are driving your car. Should you answer it? Should you use your SIM free mobile phone when driving? That can be a difficult question to answer. If you need to manage your business account or set appointments while on the road you may need to answer. If your kids are calling, you will want to answer them too. Sometimes calls are too important to pass up, but if a call is not important you should probably let it go when you are driving.

Remember that you are not the only one on the road. Do you really want other drivers to be talking on their cell phones as they pass you on the highway? You probably don't, and for good reasons.

1. You want to be as safe as possible while driving.

2. You want the other drivers on the road to pay attention to their driving.

3. You may have an accident if they do not.

4. You may be in for a lot of problems if a crash occurs while you are talking on the phone.

Using a SIM free mobile phone while driving may seem like a great deal at first, but the cons seem to outweigh the pros if you are responsible for others in the car while driving. As an experienced driver, you should distinguish which moments are best for cell conversations.

Problems On The Road

A big problem on our roads today is that of young and inexperienced drivers texting and talking on cell phones instead of keeping their eyes and minds on the road. You have to stay alert for these types of drivers as well as keep your mind on your own driving. You can set a good example for young drivers by avoiding the urge to answer your SIM free mobile as soon as it rings. You just might save a life by pulling over to the shoulder of the highway or driving to a well lit public place before using your cell phone.

Reasons To Think About Driving On The Cell

States are enforcing laws to ticket individuals driving while using their mobile phones. It does not matter how well your service may be, you can receive a citation for using one on your hands. Hands free headsets are the new law; this is great because you can attach one to your SIM free mobile phone before you start your travelling. By using a hands-free headset, you can monitor the road while managing business issues in a safe manner.

A SIM free mobile phone can be a valuable business tool and keep you in touch with your family while you are on the road. But stay safe while you talk and drive by using a hands-free headset and paying attention to the road. You could save a life, your license and a lot of headaches if you drive safely.
