Samsung Moment was the first Android phone from Samsung and is exclusive to Sprint. It is composed of inspiring requirements such as an 800 MHz processor and a simply stunning 3.2-inch, HVGA, AM-OLED display, along with the usual suspects like a GPS receiver, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi b/g wireless networking.
This Samsung Moment has something on an edge that can attract many people. Has an exclusive look that differs from other phones. Slightly cooler but not so strange that you'll find a hard time using it in public. Its cool cutout design at the top of it can really amaze you and find it to be so oddly attractive. It is wrap on silver and black color and has a rounded edge.
When you take a closer look on it, you'll find out that the Moment is larger than its siblings and its color scheme and soft touch material on its battery cover put it more in line with the Hero. It is a slider-style device, with the top screen portion of the device in silver, with the bottom portion (including the QWERTY keyboard) in black.
It is a solid device with a sturdy build. It has a large side for about 4.6 x 2.34 x 0.63 inches, and you can notice its extra bulk the moment when you put the device in your pocket. This device is not as wide as you think but rather thicker, a bit longer than an iPhone, and quite heavy for a bout 5.67 ounces for any kind of cell phone.
The slider mechanism is adequately stiff and the handset has a firm feel in the hand. You can notice, though, that when the slider is open the Moment feels a bit top-heavy. When typing, be sure to steady the back of the slider with your fingers.
Buttons and controls are rather minimal, with Call and Disconnect buttons on the bottom of the screen. It has an optical joystick and its Home, Menu, and Back buttons are touch-sensitive as well.
You can find its volume control on its left side, a standard headphone jack on the top attached by a cover when not in used, and a Camera and voice recognition button are on the right side. Sync/charge port is also hidden because of its cover that can be found also on the right side. The microSD slot is underneath the back cover of the device, and you do have to remove the battery to access the slot.
When you have the Samsung moment in you, you will notice its shiny and brilliant look. You as one of the owner have to protect your device from any scratches that can make it damage. Damages are usually due from falling and slipping.
