A Short Guide To The Samsung LN32A450

By Russell Masina

If you are looking for a HD ready LCD TV in 32" then the Samsung LN32A450 should be considered. The TV incorporates excellent technical ability whilst appearing beautifully designed.

The TV has a 6ms response time, which helps to reduce blurring of the images in fast paced scenes. The response time is the time in which it takes the individual pixels to change from completely white to completely dark and then back again.

A feature exclusive to Samsung TVs is DNIe, Digital Natural image engine. This engine improves the quality of the picture by making the image sharper and produces a clearer more defined image. Involved in this process are five image processors which help to achieve this effect and also help to enhance the density by up to six times.

Samsung HDMI-CEC lets the Samsung remote control all of the HDMI devices that are attached to the TV without the need to use the other remotes meaning you will only ever need one remote to control whatever you are doing.

The speakers in the TV provide 10W each of audio meaning the TV produces sound to a good quality. The design has meant that the TV hides the speakers without compromises on their output.

SRS TrueSurround XT has been incorporated into the TV which gives the TV a virtual surround sound module that uses the two speakers to mimic the effects of surround sound without the need for a home theatre kit.

The contrast ratio of the TV is 10,000:1. Contrast ratio helps to improve the sharpness and clarity of the picture, the larger the contrast ratio the quicker the TV can switch between frames.

The TV has a pixel resolution of 1366x768 higher than most other TVs on the market ensuring that the best possible picture is always displayed on the screen.

The viewing angle has been increases to 178 degrees meaning it is easy to view the TV from practically any angle allowing for large groups of you to get together and everyone can see the picture.

An asking price of $699.99 has been recommended by Samsung which is a competitive price considering the specification of the TV itself. The combination of price features and design means that this TV could be an excellent purchase if on a budget and if not will leave you with some extra cash whilst receiving a TV of great quality.
