5 Reasons Not To Buy A Iphone

By Brian Jones

As soon as the iphone was released way back in 2007 it instantly became a best seller and one of the most iconic phones of the modern era. Not matter how old or how young you are, everyone has an opinion on the iphone, and sometimes it's divided.

When deciding whether to purchase one or not, it's sometimes hard to look past the slim design and the chrome cover, but this article will point out some of the iphone's flaws so that you are fully aware of the product you are buying. Here are some of the best reasons for resisting temptation and saying 'no' to the iphone for now.

1. The price! - Admittedly the price of all sizes of iphone have fallen since launch, they still remain one of the most expensive phones on the market today (apart from something encrusted with diamonds!). This is mainly due to the lower number of networks it's available on and therefore reduced competition.

2. Not fully compatible with Microsoft Exchange - If your mobile phone is primarily used for business interactions then you may want to think again. Unlike the Blackberry, the iphone doesn't have 'push mail' functionality, so has to check the server and regular intervals to see if there are any emails to 'pull' down. This can lead to delays in receiving emails.

3. Unchangeable battery - Unlike almost every mobile phone before it, it's not possible to change the battery of an iphone. This means that you can't take a spare fully charged battery away with and instead must constantly charge your phone is it is to work. The battery life is decent enough, but many people like the peace of mind of taking a spare battery away with them.

4. No proper keyboard - The iphone is completely operated by a touch screen keyboard which makes it very difficult for new users to get used to. People who are young and used to new technology tend to pick it up quickly but old users in particularly are known to really struggle with the touch screen.

5. Poor quality camera - For the money an iphone costs, the quality of the camera is particularly poor. It's only 2 megapixels, which when rivals are bringing out 5 megapixels is a poor show. The difference in picture quality is substantial and will be more than enough to put some potential customers off.
