Samsung Unleashes The New Monte S5620

By Carole Laruelle

I have always been a gadget fan and I would like to have the latest when it comes to technology. I recently found out that Samsung has just released another touchscreen phone that comes with Wi-Fi capability, 3G calling, an accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, the TouchWiz UI 2.0 Plus, DNSe or Digital Natural Sound Engine which will make the sound quality much better than the other phones available in the market for music lovers like me, a 3.15 megapixel camera with Geo-tagging and smile detection, a stereo FM radio with RDS or Radio Data System, Social networking integration with live updates, Google Maps 3.0, a dedicated photo editor, an internal 200MB memory and a memory card slot that can accommodate a 16GB MicroSD memory card.

What more can you ask for? With all these features, I am sure you would assume that this handheld device will cost you an arm and a leg for having all the latest features that a mobile phone can have in such a small package. Well, it's good to know that this device will only cost something around $250 and even lower. That's actually a very good deal, given the features that this new mobile phone has.

I have a good mind of getting rid of my current mobile phone, a Sony Ericsson w902 and get one of the new Samsung Monte S5620. But then again, I thought that it would be better to keep my current phone and just buy a Samsung Monte S5620 as an additional gadget. This is because this won't be the first time that I will be getting a full touchscreen mobile phone. Last year, before my friends and I went to the beach for our annual summer vacation, I sold my older phone to get the LG Cookie KP500 which was the most reasonably priced mobile phone with a full touchscreen interface back then.

As much as I desire to get an Apple iPhone, I will have to select over going to the beach with my pals or purchasing an Apple iPhone because it costs a lot of and I'm not willing to shell out that much your money for a particular instrument that costs as higher than average as a netbook with excellent characteristics. So I just bought the LG Cookie KP500 instead. I just wanted to experience how it feels to own a cellular phone sporting a full touchscreen interface similar to the Apple iPhone.

The first week of learning the ins and outs of the LG Cookie KP500 was the nearly all ridiculous moment of my life. It was not very user-friendly and the screen didn't respond that well to touch. It was an insensitive screen and an over all useless phone. I had to get rid of it regardless if it meant selling it for practically half of the original price that I had bought it for a couple of weeks ago. That was when I bought the Sony Ericsson w902 which lived up to my expectations until this very day. So I suppose

I will be buying the Samsung Monte S5620 without selling my Sony Ericsson w902. I would like to play it safe this time in case Samsung won't give me what I need and what I want. I will let you know as soon as I get to unbox Samsung's newest baby.
